A Foundation for the Future
Boys & Girls Clubs offer positive alternatives to youth who are surrounded by negative influences, showing them how to live successful and productive lives. Since 1860, Clubs have provided safe havens for young people by offering quality programs and critically important relationships with nurturing and reliable adults.
Boys & Girls Clubs give their members, ages 6-18, access to dedicated, trained professional who provide guidance in adopting healthy lifestyles and pursuing educational objectives. Most importantly , the Boys & Girls Clubs equip young people with the skills they need to resolve conflicts peacefully, improve relationships within every aspect of their day-to-day lives, and function as responsible citizens.
Your support through a planned gift ensures that future generations will have the opportunity to live successful and productive lives in a safe, positive and caring environment.

We moved to Anaheim in 1963, and Alden was already involved in the Anaheim YMCA as he had directed Camp Osceola. We were both teachers in the Anaheim Union HS District and volunteered at the Y as club leaders and snow and summer camp directors. Alden read about the underwear and socks drive that was going on for the Clubs. He went to Target and delivered socks and underwear to the B & G Club and met Michael Baker. As a result of that we became involved in the club. We went on a tour of the club downtown, the motel on Katella, and the facility on Beach. We started attending the galas. We were always proud that there was, and is, a close relationship between the Anaheim YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club. We support both to break the cycle of poverty by helping the youth of our city. Because of Michael, we became close to Johnny Mac and Bruno. We are happy to be supporters of both organizations. -Linda Esping
I joined the board because Anne Hertz reached out to me. I have been involved with Soroptimists Artesia- Cerritos and Su Casa in the past but I wanted to be involved with a group in Cypress because I live in Cypress. My oldest daughter also attended Boys and Girls Club when she was in elementary school. At the time, I knew nothing about the club. It was just a convenient place for my daughter to go to while my husband and I both worked. I appreciate all that the club does for the kids in need and especially during the pandemic, all the families who are in need of assistance. - Dr Terrisa Ha
I became involved in the Club because the purpose and mission of the club resonate with me. As the only child of a single mom who worked full-time, there were many days when I was left home alone. From first-hand experience, I see the importance of having a safe place to go after school and having the help and support of caring and positive role models. I feel the Club provides a very valuable service to the community & am honored to be involved.
We have been supporting the Boys and Girls Club for over 10 years. We were looking for a way to give back to our community and saw a great opportunity in the Club. We have been amazed at the positive impact the Club has in our community, providing programs and services for youth of all ages and families in need. The Club is a pillar of success preparing youth for a great future. We are proud to be a part of such a great organization.
